Abstract

The article analyzes the integration processes in the border areas of Kostanay region of Kazakhstan and Chelyabinsk region of the Russian Federation in the field of education and science, identifies their main areas of cooperation. The activity of the Forums of interregional cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia from 2003 to 2018, the purpose of which is to intensify the interaction of adjacent territories of the two States. Separately, the XIV forum of interregional cooperation 2017 in Chelyabinsk, aimed at the development of human capital, is considered. Within these forums, the regions under study interact.The work describes the activities of Kostanay branch of ChelGU, joint scientific search of scientists in the field of innovation, agriculture and vocational education. In addition, such undesirable phenomena as the outflow of Kazakh graduates to Russian universities are revealed.
