Some aspects of scientific and educational activities of Turkological schools, centers, universities in Germany

It is known that the German School of Turkology has a deep history among the European schools of Turkology. The main purpose of the article was to consider the current state of Kazakh language education in German Turkology. The authors of the article note the historical Turkic centers in Germany, the areas of research of modern Turkic professors, and the content of educational programs in the specialty of Turkic studies at German universities. According to the authors, a special contribution is made by scientists from the Department of Turkology of Mainz University (Mainz Johannes Gutenberg University), which is considered to be one of the main centers of Turkology in Germany. The information is given on the basis of information during an interview with the head of the department, Mr. Julian Rentsch. The main data on the existing Chairs of Turkology in German universities are given, as well as links to open information on the official websites of the universities. It should be noted that at the University of Mainz, along with the Turkish language, attention is drawn to the study of the Kazakh language, literature and culture, and these studies are actively carried out. For example, among Turkic literature, a special place is occupied by literature in the Kazakh language, artistic texts of famous Kazakh writers and poets A. Kunanbaev, M. Auezov, A. Kekilbayev, O. Suleimenov, I. Yesenberlin, etc., many of them have been translated into German language. We believe that our article will help young people who want to study at the faculties of Turkology in Germany, and researchers who will conduct research in this field in the future.
