Abstract

The authors of the article analyze Kazakhstan and Afghanistan relations, in particular the formation
of diplomatic relationships, cooperation in the economy, transport and logistics, education, humanitarian
assistance, and Kazakhstan’s efforts to establish peace and stability in Afghanistan.
All stages of cooperation have been analyzed since the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan in 1989
to the present. The recent history of Afghanistan over the past thirty years has been described briefly. The article
provides statistical data on the trade turnover of the two countries in the field of education and humanitarian
aid in recent years. The research identifies the personalities of Kazakhstan and Afghanistan who played a major role in the establishment of bilateral relations and summarizes the results of joint cooperation and their future
prospects.
