Abstract

This article discusses the history of the concept of ideology and the process of forming this concept as an object of study. From a scientific point of view, the concept of ideology has no specific definition. In this re-gard, the article provides a new interpretation of the concept of ideology in the French philosopher Louis Althusser in the context of the theory of ideology and ideological state apparatuses. The article proposes a new approach that will make it possible to consider the concept of ideology not only as a false consciousness, thought, world view in the metaphysical sense of the word, but as a praxis that produces subjects submitted to authority and act within the framework of the social structure. And also, the article examines the very nature of the concept of ideology, the main mechanisms and tools of ide-ology in the process of forming a certain idea. This, in turn, implies that from an epistemological point of view, the concept of ideology can be interpreted not only as orthodoxy, in the sense of correct thinking, but also as ortopraxis, in the sense of correct praxis or perfective action.
