Abstract

This scientific article is devoted to studies concerning the languages of the Turkic diasporas living
in Kazakhstan. The influence of the Kazakh and Russian languages on the language of the Turkish diaspora is
considered, examples are borrowings of words, phrases and even sentences. Borrowing, the process as a result of
which some foreign language element appears (first of all, a word or a full-valued morpheme) in the language; also
such foreign element itself. Borrowing is an integral component of the process of functioning and historical change
of the language, one of the main sources of vocabulary replenishment. The borrowed vocabulary reflects the facts of
ethnic contacts, social, economic and cultural ties between linguistic groups. The article also provides a comparative
analysis of the Kazakh and Turkish languages, identifying their similarities and differences. The analysis of the
language situation in Kazakhstan is given.
