The article describes China’s economic and political expansion and the development of relations with
Central Asian countries. China is one of the world leaders in terms of economic growth. Successes of the Celestial
Empire are largely achieved thanks to a flexible economic policy. The article also describes China’s foreign policy
strategies and identifies the main tools for implementing these strategies. One of the important projects proposed by
China’s Silk Road Economic Belt has become the largest integration process, the goal of which is to create a new
model of regional cooperation on which the Central Asian states have high hopes. A new initiative may represent a
historically unprecedented opportunity for the republics of Central Asia to become important players in the global
economy.
