Abstract

The article describes the struggle between the interests of the United States and the growing
China about Afghanistan. At the end of 2018, the Trump Administration announced the possibility of a significant
reduction in its military contingent in Afghanistan. This may cause further destabilization of the country, which may
threaten the regional security of Central Asian countries. As a result, any instability in the Central Asian region can destabilize the west of the Middle Kingdom and seriously threaten the gates of China to Eurasia. At the same time,
the driving force of the Chinese strategy in Central Asia is becoming an ever-increasing need for energy, which manifested itself in the process of extraordinary economic growth. In this regard, ensuring a strong position and preventing
the domination of a third party in the region is becoming the main tasks of the PRC policy in Central Asia.
