Abstract

This article presents a comparative conceptual analysis of the “Arab spring” in Middle East and
North Africa. A study of the situation in the Arab world suggests several approaches. Each approach has its own arguments and concepts. Considering all these points of view, we adhere to the mechanism and theory of a systemic crisis,
because we believe that the causes of the uprisings in the Middle East and North Africa (revolution, civil war, mass
protests) are complex in internal political, social and economic contradictions. Analyzing all the research materials,
we propose an interpretation of the phenomenon of the “Arab spring”. Also, external factors are taken into account
that led to fundamental changes in the internal political situation in the countries of the region.
