Abstract

The article analyzes the formation process of mutual cooperation between Turkic-speaking countries, the current position, development trends and achievements. As far as is known, in November 2021, the 7th summit of the Turkic Council has taken decision that the Council would henceforth become the "Organization of Turkic States". This decision made Russia and the West worried about the revival of the "pan-Turkist" idea.

The work has studied and analyzed the development trend of the Turkic-speaking countries for almost thirty years, from the beginning of mutual cooperation to the present period, in several stages. Appropriate conclusions were made for each stage and the results of cooperation have been evaluated. The author presents a scientific rationale that despite some disagreements between the Turkic states, the cooperation of the Turkic-speaking countries has been developing successfully, contributes to strengthening peace and stability in world politics and has a great future.
