Abstract

The article considers gender policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, main legislative documents, con-cepts and strategies on this issue. Moreover, it identifies current realities of gender aspect and its degree of significance for sustainable development. Besides, the article reflects the analysis of main issues which prevent achieving of gender equality and represents possible ways, based on successful international experience, to eliminate these issues. In the article it was defined that nowadays in Kazakhstan women representing strong competition among men in the field of the diplomatic relations, to contribute to the development and strengthening of the external policy of the state. It has been noted that gender differences are not the main determinants in any professional sphere, but individual characteristics, skills and experience are important factors of the diplomat as the state representative in the world politics. Thanks to the emerging transformation of society in modern Kazakhstan, today women gaining a new status in the professional life, including the role as the main individuals of the country’s foreign image.
