Abstract

After the Soviet Union left Afghanistan, Pakistan changed its approach to foreign policy in relation to Central Asia, but, at the same time, tried to maintain the old goal of balancing the strategic gap between it and India. Following this principle, it sought to expand its influence on the whole region. Kazakhstan and Pakistan have simi-larities in the history, traditions and culture of nations that connect the two republics. Both states attach a big significance to the development of bilateral relations and are interested in further deepen-ing them. Kazakhstan and Pakistan connect many factors: common positions on the political issues of the region, the fight against terrorism, religion and cultural heritage. At the moment, new opportunities for cooperation between our countries in various areas are opening. It should be noted that Pakistan is quickly and comprehensively developing its seaports that can be used for the export of Kazakh goods. As well as, Kazakhstan and Pakistan are members of many international organizations, which also reinforces the opportunities for the development of bilateral relations.
