Abstract

The article examines love lyrics of the modern Tatar poet Renat Kharis in the context of the Tatar, Russian, Turkic,and Western European traditions. Renat Kharis is a poet with a pronounced civic position, acutely and promptly reacting to the socio-political events of our time, andgiving his poetic, philosophical assessment of both eventsof the distant history of the Tatar people and the recent past. Renat Haris is a poet with a wide genre rangefrom lyric poetry, miniatures, to large-scalepoems, libretto,and novel in verse. The articleconsiderslovelyrics and poems of Renat Kharis in the context of Tatar (Eastern), Russian and Western European poetry. In addition to the poems written over the past 50 years, the author turned to the poems Rәssam (Artist), Өch үbeshү (Three Kisses), Tәүbsez mәhәүbbәt (Forbidden Love) and The Decameron (2021), tracing the evolution in the artistic embodiment of the love theme in the work of Renat Haris.
