Development priorities of Turkic cultural integration

Abstract

 This article discusses the development of Turkic integration. Common historical and cultural
roots, similarity of traditions, closeness of language, motivation for joint cooperation are the foundation of
integrative interaction at the present stage. There is a positive dynamics of contacts between the Turkic states,
which sets the basis for inclusive cultural cooperation. The ongoing processes require a comprehensive and
comprehensive study, however, within the framework of domestic science, and Turkology in particular,
there is a certain lack of knowledge of it. Therefore, it becomes relevant to use an interdisciplinary approach
that allows us to consider phenomena, facts and variables with a more objective view.
As the analysis of the materials shows, among the researchers of Turkic culture, the civilizational
approach prevails, which has a certain dilatability due to the fact that the concept of «Turkic civilization»
is accepted in the scientific community, but not fully represented in the literature, etc. Among other
problems, the consequences of Eurocentrism and the adverse effects of globalization should be noted. Due
to the existence of a Eurocentric point of view for a long time, many issues have been overlooked in the
humanities. In terms of globalization, there are risks of blurring common cultural values and traditions.
Based on this, the agenda of rapprochement of the Turkic countries and peoples comes to the fore,
which can level various problematic aspects. The TOP-3 determining factors for the strengthening and
development of integration in the cultural sphere are the commonality of culture, the geopolitical agenda
and political cooperation, as well as institutional mechanisms. Regarding the general culture, there is a
need for more effective information and explanatory work and the correct coding of the signs and meanings
of the Turkic culture. The geopolitical agenda catalyzes interaction between countries, and as a result of
political cooperation, integration priorities are set. In general, various institutional mechanisms (TURKSOY,
the Turkic Academy and the International Turkish Culture and The Turkish Cultural Foundation) can
significantly increase the opportunities and level of cultural cooperation and the implementation of urgent
tasks.
