The problem of administrative-territorial zoning of Karakalpakstan in the 20-30s of the twentieth century

Abstract

Administrative-territorial zoning is characteristic of all states at all times, the difference is
shown only in the degree of complexity and elaboration. This article reflects the fundamental and strategic
role of zoning in the formation and development of modern Karakalpakstan. The historical process of
formation of Karakalpakstan, the formation and further improvement of separate institutions which
make up the bearing constructions of the administrative system is analyzed. Administrative-territorial
planning is a fundamental aspect of governance in all states, although with varying degrees of complexity
and elaboration. This article emphasizes the crucial and strategic role of zoning in the formation and
development of modern Karakalpakstan. It examines the historical process of formation of the region and
looks at the creation and subsequent strengthening of key institutions that form the fundamental basis of
its administrative structure.
