Abstract

This study analyzes archetypal images in the political positioning of female deputies of the VIII Convocation of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan through the lens of C.G.Jung’s theory of the collective unconscious. The comprehensive research included content analysis of public speeches, biographical analysis, and media analysis of 18 female deputies during the period 2023–2025. Evaluation was carried out based on five key Jungian archetypes: “Mother,” “Heroine,” “Wise Woman,” “Persona,” and “Animus,” using a fifteen-point scale. Statistical analysis revealed the dominance of the “Wise Woman” archetype, indicating the prioritization of strategic thinking and expertise in the self-presentation of Kazakhstani parliamentarians. The “Persona” and “Animus” archetypes also scored high, reflecting advanced public image management skills and authoritarian leadership styles. The least expressed archetypes were “Heroine” and “Mother,” demonstrating a shift away from traditional maternal roles. Kazakhstani female deputies are shaping hybrid archetypal profiles that combine wisdom, strategic thinking, and authoritarianism with conscious public image management.

The dominance of the “Wise Woman” archetype reflects the cultural and historical characteristics of Kazakh society and modern requirements for political leadership. The results can be applied to the development of political communication strategies and understanding electoral preferences.
