Abstract

Article devoted to broad issues of countering terrorism beginning from definition of the persons sponsoring terrorism. Also challenges of Sunctions Committee, Listing-deListing procedures, expansion of the powers of police and intelligence services. Some the authorities continued to persecute people peacefully practicing their religious beliefs through unregistered religious groups. Some countries are to initiate legislative changes with regard to non-governmental organizations in order to restrict their activities that contravene the conditions of freedom of association

There is broad and comprehensive analysis of United Nations main resolutions and other documents and reports on activities of the Analytical Support and Sanctions Monitoring Team established pursuant to resolution 1526 (2004) addressed to the Chairman of the SC Committee established pursuant to UNSC resolution 1267 (1999).
