Now all the most important processes of our time are unfolding against the background of globalization, including the large-scale consumption of energy resources with a reduction in their reserves, which leads to the
growth of an increasing number of countries that are not provided with their own energy resources. In this regard,
the issues of energy integration and close cooperation of integration associations in the energy sector are becoming
urgent. The article considers the issue of interests of integration associations (European Union and Silk Road Economic Belt) in the Eurasian region and areas of joint development they identified in the context of energy cooperation.
Conclusions were drawn on the priority directions of energy policy development and recommendations for further
cooperation.
