Abstract

The article explains the reasons, process and expansion of the Tang Empire’s influence on Central
Asia in VII-VIII centuries. Various Chinese and Western sources and research materials are used. It also touches
the political, economic and cultural relations between Empire and Central Asian countries as well as far beyond its
borders. It particularly analyzes the character and features of the domination of the Tang Empire in Central Asia. At
the blossoming of the Tang Empire in the western part of the Empire appeared two large states, the first one was the
state of Tibet, and another one was Arab Empire. These two powerful states, together with the Tang Empire, were the
main political players in the western part. In the opinion of the Tibetans, the Tang Empire was culturally developed
and people were educated. This image originated from the military power and culture of the Tang Empire.
